At Haven of living, we are committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care that extends beyond the home environment. I can't say enough about one of the resources that's provided by Haven of Living. The transportaion services goes beyond the call of duty. The trained caregivers who provided assistance with mobility devices ensured our safety and comfort during travel.

Benefits of Transportation services.
1. Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Medical appointments and may include wheelchair accessibility.
2. Errand Running and community engagement. - grocery shopping, pharmacy visits, social events.
3. Mobility Assistance- Getting help in and out of vehicles.
* Insurances that cover these services
1 Medicaid-eligible members who lack alternative transportation to covered health care services
2. Medicare (Parts A&B) generally doesn't cover routine NEMT services, except where ambulatory transportation is required.
3. Medicare Advantage (Part C)- often plans include NEMT benefits, which provide transportation for doctor's appointments, pharmacy visits and preventive care
4. Private insurance- While less common, some private insurance may cover NEMT under certain circumstance
5 Workers comp -N/A- If injury or illness requiring NEMT are work related, workers comp insurance may cover cost.
In summary, NEMT is primarily covered by Medicaid, with some coverage provided by Medicare Advantage plans
